A sunset soirée at dragon-i: how Purité launched in Hong Kong

On 3 June 2026, Purité arrived in Hong Kong. The Purité launch in Hong Kong was staged as a sunset soirée at the newly reopened dragon-i in Central: a first pour of Orchard at the door, a hidden bar behind a turquoise curtain, and a guest list drawn from the city’s media, restaurant and hospitality scene. This is how the evening unfolded.
The venue
Few addresses carry more weight in Hong Kong nightlife than dragon-i. Reopened in 2026 after a complete renovation, the club offered exactly the setting Purité was looking for: an amber-lit lounge, lacquered panels and a glass-brick bar, with the glamour of a night out and a drink that lets guests stay fully present. Founder Tatiana Pudwill welcomed editors, restaurateurs and industry partners, many of whom tasted sparkling tea for the first time that evening.

The welcome
The evening opened at the door, where every guest was handed a first glass of chilled Orchard beside a sculpted Purité bottle, lit from within. It set the tone for the night: unhurried, generous and made to be shared, and it quickly became the most photographed corner of the room.
The hidden bar
Beyond the main room, a curtained window in Purité’s signature aqua opened onto a hidden bar serving two signature creations for the night. Golden Hour, pale gold in a coupe, paired Orchard with dry gin, elderflower and mint. Twilight Spark, deep red in a flute, brought together strawberry, pink grapefruit and Orchard, entirely without alcohol. Both recipes are published in our cocktail journal.
What was on the table
Sparkling tea is made for the table, and the menu at dragon-i proved it. Caviar on crushed ice met the dry, tannic edge of Vineyard the way it meets a fine champagne. Throughout the evening, trays of canapés circled the room: black bao buns, cured ham on crisp bases, salmon and seafood on crackers, each small enough to hold with a glass in the other hand. Nothing on the menu called for alcohol, and no one missed it.

Why tea belongs at the celebration
Ahead of the launch, Tatiana Pudwill spoke to Prestige Hong Kong about the idea behind the brand. Tea, she observed, already accompanies almost every part of our lives: moments of focus, comfort, company and pause. Celebration was the one occasion it had never been invited to. Purité is her answer: two dry sparkling teas on an organic tea base. Orchard is bright and fruit-forward, blended from more than ten organic teas. Vineyard takes its structure from wine and is made for guests who would otherwise reach for champagne.

Purité is produced in Germany, where a tea house with more than 180 years of blending experience works on every recipe. The teas contain no added preservatives and carry one of the lowest sugar profiles in the category. Tatler Hong Kong and Prestige both covered the launch, and since June, Purité has been available in Hong Kong through hk.puritetea.com and a selection of restaurants and bars.
What came next
The evening at dragon-i set the pattern for how Purité enters a market: first in the glass, at the right address, and then on the shelf. Within months, Orchard was awarded Gold and Vineyard Silver at the Korea Wine Challenge. And the Rosé that Tatiana Pudwill first hinted at in Prestige is now arriving in December.
Planning a launch, a gala or a private dinner? Purité keeps every guest part of the toast.
